Drag-and-drop content via WebDAV

WebDAV is an abbreviation for "Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning" . WebDAV allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on a web server. Using a WebDAV compatible client (such as Internet Explorer or KDE's Konqueror browser), the user connects to the server and is able to browse and manage files. In other words, this protocol makes it possible to browse, create, remove, upload, download, rename, etc. files and directories on a web server.

The WebDAV interface makes it possible to drag-and-drop files into an Exponential installation. For example, when adding a number of images to an Exponential site, it is easier to drag-and-drop the files from a local filesystem to the Exponential installation via a WebDAV client than to add images individually via the Website Interface.

For instructions about using the WebDAV interface, refer to the Exponential WebDAV documentation.
